President's Column 06/10/2026

It was unfortunate that, due to the unrest in the Middle East, I had to cancel my trip to Uganda to update the PACS software, as the flight passed through the region. Hopefully, things will normalize soon, so I can resume my travel plans. So, after a relatively quiet spring, it is time to look ahead to the next big event, i.e., the annual SIIM meeting, held this year in Pittsburgh. Of course, this meeting will be all about AI, maybe a little, but overkill, as I heard from potential attendees that “traditional” subjects regarding enterprise imaging and day-to-day PACS operations and challenges have become underrepresented. But regardless, I am sure attendance will be up, and we’ll see how far we have come over the past year. Hope to see many of you at this event, just ping me on LinkedIn if you'd like to connect in person, as I will be there all week. See you in Pittsburgh!
